Welcome on Creative Patterns’ Website

Currently, the team is made up of the 3 founders and 27 employees.

With up to 10 years of experience in the video game industry for the seniors, the vast majority of our people have already at least one published video game under their belt, thanks to a low turn over on our projects.

Creative Patterns is:

  • 2 Project Coordinators
  • 9 Programmers
  • 9 Artists
  • 8 Game & Level Designers
  • 1 Lead Tester
  • 1 Manager Assistant

  • Stéphane Becker - CEO & Technical Manager & Public Relations

With a wealth of experience as a demo maker in his youth, Stéphane completed his Masters in Computer Science before joining Spellbound Studios in 1998. As Technical Director, his mission was to guarantee software quality and the efficiency of the development methods used. To achieve this, he brought the XP (eXtreme Programming) method to Spellbound, which permitted the team to deliver their products on time and within budget.

As a logical continuation of his interest in management, and convinced by enterprise management values, Stéphane manages Creative Patterns, which he founded in 2004 with the help of his associates, and is the Technical Director and Public Relations Responsable.

Jean-Michel Stenger - Project Leader & Art Manager

Like Mel Gibson in "What Women Want" (but sexier), Jean-Michel listens to the opinion of every game player he meets and guesses what they are waiting for. In the same manner as George Clooney in "Ocean's Eleven" (but more charismatic), Jean-Michel is passionate about controlling and planning projects.

For these reasons, Jean-Michel is Creative Patterns' Art Manager and Project Leaders Responsable since 2004 with 8 years of job experience from having performed the same duties for Spellbound Studios.

Martin Kuppe - Game Design Manager

With a doctorate in mathematics, Martin plays chess against the Lemmings during his free time and shows merciless logic (sometimes he even wins). That's the reason he joined Spellbound Studios in 2000 as the artificial intelligence programmer for "Desperados". Because of his interest in game design, Doctor Martin became Game Designer for "Robin Hood", and then Lead Game Designer for "Chicago 1930". Martin has a vivid imagination and is the ideal interface with other departments, because of his programming experience and his very pragmatic approach to game design.

Martin leads the Creative Patterns' Game Design department since 2004 and guarantees the playful quality of all our products.

    Isabelle Gadbled - Artist

As long as she can remember Isabelle has shown interest in creativity and the aesthetics of things, a passion she wishes to exercise in her job. After getting her diploma at Supinfocom, Isabelle joined the Spellbound team in 2001 as a graphic artist and took part in making the setting for "Robin Hood" and "Chicago 1930".

With her open mind and mastery of both 2D and 3D, Isabelle brought freshness and dynamism when she joined Creative Patterns as a graphic artist in 2004.

    Fabrice Weiss - Artist

After studying art in Strasbourg, Fabrice worked for Spellbound as a contractor in 1998 on the game "Airline Tycoon", before he joined them in 2000 and worked on research, character creation and animation for "Desperados", "Robin Hood" and "Chicago 1930".

Born with a very deep sense of versatility, Fabrice joined Creative Patterns in 2004 as a graphic artist, character designer, storyboarder, and 3D animator.

    Vincent Lalyman - Game Designer

Having finished a diploma in psychology (with a criminology option), Vincent denied himself a career at the NCIA as he preferred working in the video game industry. He joined Spellbound in 2002 as a Level Designer and worked on level design and game design for "Robin Hood" (he also wrote the script) and for "Chicago 1930".

Conscious of the level of sociopathy at Creative Patterns, Vincent joined us in 2004 to study us and occupies the position of Game Designer.

    Vincent Adhenet - Programmer

When he was a child, Vincent had two passions: video games and banana chocolate tartlets. Holding a university technology diploma in computer science, Vincent started as a trainee at Creative Patterns in 2005 after having impressed everyone by presenting a video game prototype made during his free time. Satisfied that there is a nearby bakery, Vincent realizes that he could accomplish two of his dreams at once when he is hired as a programmer.

    Sacha Millet - Lead Programmer

Recently escaped from "Pokemon" on Nintendo DS, Sacha secretly dreams of returning to his console origins. Unable to find the dimensional gate back to the DS, Sacha worked with determination to obtain his Master in computer science. Now he does his secret searches while working as a programmer then lead programmer at Creative Patterns since 2006.

    Joël Lamotte - Programmer

Self-taught, Joël improves his knowledge in programming, game design and graphic arts through personal projects. Since he became the Boss of Internet creative communities, Klaim (pseudonym of a respected man ; this picture is extracted of his police record) is feared by the plebs, as a legend tells he's able to program video games with his bare hands. With programming experience in the embedded industry, Joël joined us in 2006 as a programmer.
